Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō is a supernatural, historical‑fantasy anime set during Japan’s Edo period. Jinta, an orphan raised to guard the village shrine maiden, Suzune, confronts a demon who foretells the rise of a Demon God in the future. After the battle, Jinta absorbs demonic power and becomes immortal.
When tragedy strikes Suzune murders Shirayuki and burns their village he embarks on a centuries-long journey across eras, hunting demons and wrestling with what it truly means to wield his cursed sword.
